yes, you read that right.  When I lived in Italy it was always fun to make sure you had a new pair of red underwear on on New years eve.   I remember looking out over the valley from our house and seeing bonfires where people were burning their old red underwear from the year past.   Don't ask me where this whole tradition came from.. I just participate..
