This is a strange post to be writing but after 5 years of being apart of our clients special moments we will be taking a sabbatical to enjoy more time with our two little boys. Isaiah was born April 30th and we are realizing how quickly time goes by and we don't want to miss one minute.

This was a hard decision but we are both at peace with it and know that it doesn't mean we are saying good by to photography forever. We hope to continue to keep the camera in our hands but instead of shooting brides we will be photographing smaller models :)

Thank you again to all of our clients for allowing us to be apart of such special times in your life. We have truly enjoyed it.

We will see you down the road.. and I am sure we will eventually post sessions from our boys or family..

wow, it's been awhile. This has been one crazy season with a lot of new changes.

In August we found out that we are expecting our second baby and this past week we were told we are having another boy! Whoo. I always saw myself as a mom of two girls. I DID NOT see that coming!!

The Lord has a sense of humor and I am looking forward to having two precious boys to protect me.

This little one is due in May and we are so looking forward to it.

On another note, we have sold and bought a new house and the moving date is this coming Monday.

Because of that we will be out of the office until January 10th.

We will be available to answer emails and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

So this is a special post for Adam and I. Steph and Kaleb are one dear couple. Steph is Adam's cousin and my good friend and Kaleb is one of Adam's good friends, and now they are engaged!!!

Oh it makes me so happy to write that!!!

It was so fun to go out and do a session with people that mean so much to you. They have been a long time coming and to see the prayers of Kaleb's heart be answered so beautifully encourages me daily that the Lord wants to see us happy in life, oh praise Him.

Seniors don't usually grace our blog so this was fun to do. She is the girlfriend of one of Adams cousins and so we headed up to Cincinnati to do this shoot and it was worth it.. was so naturally beautiful and enjoyable to shoot. I mean look at her, how could you not! enjoy the sneak peek.

So I cannot tell you how much Adam and I enjoyed shooting these two. They are a dream come true for us and worked it! (and I have to say their wedding party was pretty phenomenal as well)

They had their wedding at the Fort Wayne Courthouse and then we headed off to the Golf Club where the colors were outrageous and the weather treated us very kindly.
You never would have known it was October in Indiana.

Meet Ashely + Tim.

If either of them ever need a "fallback" job, I think they could take up modeling. They are such a beautiful couple and from the little time we have spent together they are just as wonderful to be around.

We actually first met these two over Skype for their consultation. All four of us agreed it was definitely an awkward way to start things out.. but hey when your states apart you do what you have to do!

Oh the joys of technology. We are so blessed to continually have couples that are fabulous to be around and to work with and these two are no different.

So if I could ever get married again (of course to the same man) I would without a doubt have a reception like Kyle and Miriam had. It was everything I love wrapped up in one. It was absolutely beautiful, rustic, and romantic.

THese two were everything we dream of for a couple. They allowed us to shoot as much as we wanted and they WANTED to be photographed just as much! Were we in heaven.

It is amazing how often couples want the millions of photographs from the day but they are not willing to put in a little bit of time and corporation to get them.

These two cherish the images just as much as we do and to that, we say thank you. It was such a joy and we walked away loving what we do!!!!

Brittany + Brandon were married on the third of July in a beautiful church downtown in Indianapolis .

Their reception was held at the Mavris which we love to shoot at whenever we can!

Their wedding and reception both was very elegant with a touch of sass. I was in love with her lime green touches and zebra candles.. are you kidding me?!

Wedding Invitation Wording

All of this can easily go over my head and become to overwhelming. This is not the way my brain is wired. Hence the reason I thought this might be a good installment!

Anatomy of an Invitation

A typical invitation includes certain customary elements: the host line, request line, bride and groom line, date and time lines, location line, and reception and R.S.V.P. lines. Although every invitation should have all these lines, they can be worded and arranged in countless ways to reflect the style of the occasion and the changing times. "The trend is that you do whatever makes good etiquette sense and makes you feel good," says Jerome Brownstein, engraving consultant at Ross-Cook Engraving in New York City. "People are trying to stay socially correct, and at the same time they want to be comfortable.

The Bride's Parents Are Hosting

Most married couples follow the standard format (below); if they have different surnames, an "and" joins them.

Mr. and Mrs. John Michael Williams
Ms. Jane Marie Parks and Mr. John Michael Williams

The Groom's Parents Are Hosting

If you'd like to mention them, do so after the groom's name. If they are cohosting the wedding, add them after the bride's parents' names.

The below format works well for delicate situations. If the couple is hosting on their own, omit the first line.

Divorced Parents

Names are listed on separate lines without an "and" between them, and remember that Mom always comes first.
If mom is remarried, use her married name; the oldest etiquette omits all stepparents, though you can add them if you like. If a remarried parent has a different surname from his or her spouse, put the birth parent first. If you must break the line, do it before the "and.

Parent Has Passed Away

It's not traditional to include a deceased parent, but many people feel strongly about doing so. This wording should make it clear that the deceased parent is not issuing the invitation. (Courtesy titles would be awkward and are omitted.)

Request Line

Two phrases are the most traditional; one indicates the ceremony will be in a house of worship, the other that it will not. But informal wording is becoming very common. Just be sure that whatever phrasing you choose indicates that guests are being invited to a wedding ceremony or the reception only.

would be delighted by your presence at the marriage of their children

Bride and Groom Lines

Because the bridal couple are the stars of the invitation, their names are set off, on separate lines. The preposition linking them goes on its own line: traditional American formatting uses the word "to"; some Jewish formats use the word "and."

Traditional
If the bride's last name is the same as her parents' above, it is not repeated. No courtesy title (such as Miss or Ms.) is used.

Contemporary
If the couple or both sets of parents are to host, treat the names equally.

Date and Time

Don't worry about using a.m. or p.m., or a phrase such as "in the evening," unless the wedding will be held at 8, 9, or 10 o'clock. The year is traditionally omitted as well, but it is sometimes included for the invitation's keepsake value.
Traditional
Spell out numbers and capitalize proper nouns only; you can begin the line with the preposition "on" if you'd like.
Contemporary
Though using numerals is a more modern practice, it is not necessarily more casual.

Location

It's traditional not to include street addresses of houses of worship or well-known locations, but this is less common lately. Commas are not used at the ends of lines, and the state is always spelled out.

If the ceremony and reception are in the same space, they can be on a single invitation. If the reception is held elsewhere, a separate card might be helpful. It is no longer considered acceptable to invite some people only to the ceremony.

R.S.V.P. Line or Reply Card

Brides today generally include paper, envelope, and stamp to encourage guests to respond to their invitation in a timely manner, even though traditional etiquette doesn't actually call for them. It's not rude to omit these, but it might be risky.

R.S.V.P. Line on the Invitation
It goes in the lower left corner; you can also include mailing address, phone number, email address, or website.
On a Separate Card
A traditional fill-in-the-blank version provides the first letter of Mr. or Mrs.; or try a single line, such as "Please let us know whether you will join us," with space for writing.

Special Details on the Wedding Invitation

If your event won't include a full meal, it's courteous to inform your guests. Use phrasing such as "and afterward for cocktails" instead of the classic "at the reception."
If you want to stress the importance of the style of dress -- black tie, for instance, or casual attire -- place that information in the lower right corner, or on the reception card.
The only thing that should not be included anywhere on your invitation -- not even as an insert -- is your registry information.

This bold time line serves as a three-dimensional reminder of when you first met each of your guests. Play it during cocktail hour.

Wine Bottles as Wedding Table Numbers

Have wine bottles do double-duty as table numbers. Cover-weight paper printed with large, graphic numerals can be adhered over existing labels with double-sided tape for a clean, contemporary look. It's a clever touch that will have guests drinking to your good fortune -- and your good taste. Cotton-linen table runner with black-and-white floral pattern from Anthropologie.

Paper Bag Wedding Centerpiece

Vases of varying sizes, shapes, and materials can be unified with mere paper bags to serve as fresh, bright centerpieces at a casual wedding. Slip the plain white lunch bags over the containers and cinch the tops loosely with ribbons tied in bows.

Just Married Wedding Banner

Why save the traditional "Just Married" sign for your car-aided exit? Hang it up at your reception and you'll get more time to enjoy its message. Better yet, spell out your sentiments letter-by-letter using our alphabet template.

Photo Booth at the Wedding Reception

Create your own photo booth with an oversize canvas backdrop. Download this design and take it to a copy center that can print the large file (we went to FedEx Office). Then hang it up at your reception and have your photographer or friends capture candid moments that you can add to your guest book.

Here is the second installment. So your engaged. now what?! Here is some helpful tips to get your newly engaged brain turing.. that or either be bad or very dangerous :) Enjoy!

Start Spreading the News. You may want to let people in on your engagement as soon as the ring is slipped on your finger. Or you might want to keep the moment private a bit longer. However you share the information, even if you veer from tradition, you should tell your parents first, then other family and friends. You'll make phone calls, of course, but you can also send email or a letter or use a service like pingg to send an announcement. You could even throw a party.

Discuss a Date. Once the word is out, expect lots of questions, including "When are you getting married?" Reveal a date if you have one, or let curious friends know plans are in the works -- as they should be, especially if you want to hold your wedding at a popular time of year, such as June or over a holiday. Locations, photographers, caterers, and other professionals book up early, sometimes a year in advance.

Think About the Big Picture. Envision the type of wedding you both want -- maybe it's the event of childhood dreams or one that reflects your grown-up tastes. Even if you are set on a formal event in a ballroom, considering other possibilities, such as a seaside ceremony or a Sunday brunch, may change your mind or reinforce your choice. The same holds true for selecting the time of day and mood of the wedding.

Set a Budget. Prior to making any decisions about the style, location, etc., figure out what you have to spend and whether your families will contribute. Make sure you and your fiance are in agreement about your priorities before talking to your parents about budget and logistics.

Register for Gifts. Surprising as it may seem, as soon as people find out about your impending nuptials, presents will start flowing in. It's never too early to register, not only to help ensure you get something you like and need, but also to make it easier on friends and family who are pondering what to purchase. Even if you don't select everything right away, at least go to one store and decide on some things for your list. You can always add more later and register at other stores. Try to limit your registry to three places. This way, it'll be easier to manage. And, in case you don't get everything you put down, many stores will keep your registry active for as long as a few years.

Insure Your Ring You may never want to take off your priceless new treasure, but realistically, you'll have to at times. It's a good idea to talk to an insurance agent about coverage in case the stones or the ring itself ever need to be repaired or replaced.  You will first need an appraisal by a certified independent gemologist; most jewelers will provide this service upon purchase. And make sure you understand all the terms of the policy. Find out whether you are covered if the ring is lost, stolen, or damaged, and what stipulations there are, if any. If the ring is damaged, does the company give you a check so you can have it repaired by the jeweler of your choice, or do you have to use one of their jewelers? You'll also want to know how long the claims process takes.  You might be able to add a jewelry rider to your existing homeowner's or renter's policy; if not, set up a separate policy. And, most important, take very good care of your ring -- when you're wearing it and when you're not -- because that's the best insurance of all.

In the meantime we are going to be starting a series "a brides guide" every Tuesday. So enjoy. Here is the first installment. Adam and I made a few mistakes in our wedding planning and one was in our registry. We were not strategic and we ended up with some very random and many duplicate objects..

Do Register Ahead of Time

Complete your registry four to six months before the wedding. This will give guests time to purchase gifts for the big day, but also for your engagement and a shower.

Don't Tell Guests Where You're Registered in Your Invitation

Once you have registered, give the information to immediate family and the wedding party, and let them spread the word. If you are asked where you have registered, it is fine for you to tell, but it is not proper to include registry information in a wedding invitation. Registry information can be included on a wedding website, as long as the actual name of the store is not included on the same layer; organize your website so that guests must click down one level to find the details.

Do Register for Enough Gifts

Register for more gifts than you have guests, so there will be plenty of items to choose from. Think about who your guests are, and register for gifts in a wide range of prices, or choose individual items rather than sets, as with pots and pans, for instance. It is fine to put a few expensive items on your registry, but balance them with equally lovely options that are more affordable.

Don't Ask for Money

While it's still taboo to ask for money directly, financial registries try to make this less awkward; for example, couples can now register for stocks via a website such as GiftsofStock.com, or for their honeymoon through a travel agency or an online service such as TheHoneymoon.com. Saving up for a house? Some banks have programs that let brides and grooms establish a special account to which guests can give money earmarked for a down payment.

Do Write Thank-You Notes Right Away

Ideally, you should acknowledge every present immediately; writing a note the day you receive it is best, but sending it within two weeks is also acceptable. Of course, the period surrounding your wedding is a busy time; if you fall behind, just make every effort to send a thank you as soon as you can -- but no later than three months after the event.

Don't Worry if You Don't Get Everything on Your Registry

If you don't receive everything you registered for, don't fret. Many stores have a completion program, which offers a discount on remaining items, or will keep the registry active for anywhere from a few months to a few years, so friends and relatives can continue to purchase gifts from it as other joyous occasions arise.

warning:: there is a whole lotta thumb sucking going on in this post. Get ready.

our self portrait. I love when he lays on me.. I don't want this to ever stop.

As a photographer it is so hard to stay on top of photographing your own kids sometimes! To me this is such a sad fact. I did pretty well the first year and then once I need to take his one year it took awhile to make it happen. In my mind I wanted to be perfect and I had this idea for the this wonderful shoot in my head because well, its my own baby boy. Yea, when your the photographer and the mom it proves to be a little bit trickier at this age. Luckily I thought to bring his silkie and monkey (his two favorite things in the world right now) and so it distracted him and allowed him to be content to just sit on the bench at times! Praise the Lord!

Finally here they are and he did wonderful and we pulled these out in a ten minute session. He is getting so big and changing it seems like every nap time. Luckily we have a thing called a camera in life where we can stop him in time to remember his sweetness.

Kyle and Miriam were fabulous during their session. Kyle has his pilots license and so they thought it would be fun to find a plane to do some of their images with one! How clever! So of course we jumped at the idea and it did not fail. They were so much fun to get to know and I know I always say this but it gets us so excited to be with them on their wedding day!

I am IN LOVE with bird cage veils. I love them for weddings, I love them for boudoir and I just plain love them.. I have been wanting to get one for when I do boudoir shoots, something for the client to wear and make the image and if you know anything about me I would much rather try to make one than ever spend the money on one. So we don't usually do seniors but in this case we were all for it. Blake is one of Adam's many cousins and so we were thrilled to pack up for the day and head over to Cincinnati and spend some time with him.

These are long over due.. does it even count if they already have their CD?!!

Oh well.. that how life happens sometimes :)

Josiah's First Birthday Party

here are some snapshots from Josiah's party we had a couple weekends ago..

His theme was red, as you can tell by the balloons and we had a pimp your cupcake "bar". We also mad hot dogs with the cutest hot dog holders (def. a must) and chocolate and regular popcorn. My niece and I made some toffee chocolate chip cookies just in case you were not a fan of the cupcakes.. we had to have something for everyone. For drinks we had lemonade and sweet tea.

I set up a long table in the yard and covered it with brown craft paper and filled some ball jars with crayons for the kids to color on and decorate. We had so much fun with our close friends and family and I am so glad to have it over with. I am such a sentimental person that now the pressure of making his first birthday memorable is over.. whew. Now if I could only get his one year session done I would be set!

the poor little guy had pink eye on his birthday but he was a trooper.

he was also a bigger fan of the candle than the cupcake.. go figure.

I just noticed as I was getting this ready that I totally put 2009 as the year of the party. REALLY?! oh geesh. I was hoping to put this in a book for josiah and now it says his birthday party was on the day he was due last year. Oh well, such as life.. thats what happens when you design them 6 months ahead of time.

I am veery excited for his party because lets be honest, I think birthdays are fabulous and I am always up for planning a party! I will take tons of pictures of the festivities and post them all as soon as I have them!

So my wonderful sister is starting a journey to bring shoes to Africa. It might sound trivial but here in the States we are quite spoiled. I was talking to her today and she was telling me how the kids over there have one pair of shoes that they were to school and once they get home they take them off to keep them nice and they live the rest of their day barefoot. Needless to say it becomes a huge health problem (I am not good with the exact details. it grosses me out.. so visit her blog!)

If you have noticed we have been a little MIA. We have good reason for it, I promise. I am so excited to be introducing our newest division of A. BRYAN PHOTOGRAPHY!

That is right, I am going out on this adventure on my own and I couldn't be more excited, giddy, anxious and thrilled to be doing it. I believe when you are an artist, whatever medium you have to do what you truly love.

I still love shooting weddings, don't get me wrong but I LOVE the glamour of boudoir and the one on one interaction.

This is such a unique niche and I am IN LOVE with it.

All I can say is...WOW! I never wanted the photo shoot to end. All of us girls were having too much fun running around in our lingerie, encouraging eachother and making eachother laugh! Every element of this boudoir shoot was an adventure...from picking out what to wear, to having my make-up done by the amazing Sarah Jackson, getting into my first ensemble and then finally getting into that first pose. From there, my inner-vixen came out!! I met Allie for the first time the day of the shoot...and needless to say, I felt very comfortable with her! She had great ideas for poses, she really knew how to use lighting to make you look amazing and she got some incredible shots of all of us!! I wish I had a grand food budget each month because I would be making EVERYthing I found. I am once again on a liver cleanse so I cannot make this yet but as soon as I can you gotta bet I will!

Best Homemade Granola

Tweaked from The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook, yields 7-8 cups

Ingredients

4 cups organic rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped or slivered almonds
1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
2 tbsp flax seeds
1 cup shredded coconut
3 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup veggie or olive oil (or 1/3 cup applesauce)
1/3 cup good honey
1/3 cup apple juice or apple cider
1 cup dried cranberries, or favorite dried chopped fruit

Method

Heat oven to 350º. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the oats, nuts, flax seeds, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Whisk the oil, honey, and apple juice in measuring cup.

Pour the liquid mixture over the oat mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until all the oats and nuts are coated. Spread onto a large sheet pan. Bake, stirring occasionally with a spatula, until the mixture turns a nice, even golden brown, around 30-40 minutes, depending on oven.

Remove granola from the oven and allow to cool completely, stirring occasionally. Add cranberries. Store cooled granola in an airtight container.

This past weekend it was so nice to be just guests at a good friends wedding.. As much as we love shooting weddings we were not envying the photographer that day! And hello we go to DANCE which was the best part!!! You have got to love it. It is so funny now as a mom how excited you get when you have a nice place to go and you get to dress up and spend the night with your husband.. the things I took for granted before. Or maybe I have just learned to appreciate some of the simpler things in life?! The jury is still out.

So here is Josiah's first year album that I designed for him so far. I have one more session to add before I can send it off to get printed. I am wanting to do this each year before his birthday party so that I can have it there and have our friends and family write in it just like you would in a guest book for a wedding.

I am very excited to get!

It is amazing how quickly he is growing and working on this album made me realize it even more!

Okay so I LOVE this idea, I have been on the search for a cute favor for Josiah's first birthday coming up. I ran across this over at one of my favorite blogs! How clever is this?!

I never thought I would be so excited to plan a one year olds birthday but sadly I must say it has been in the works since November.. now it has been very on and off planning but that is only because I keep telling myself I am crazy for needing this much time to plan it. Okay so here is my sweet, adorable, I cant get enough of niece. My sister wanted me to grab some quick shots of her on their last trip here and of course Quinn is a pro at being in front of the camera. On this particular day though she was not having it at all. This is where her modeling expertise came in.. you would never know she didn't want to be doing this. We told her she would get a treat when we got done if she smiled and cooperated. So she put on a happy face and off her and I went. (is that bad to bride a child for a smile?!)

Just looking at these makes me miss her and wish we lived closer. Until that day I will have to be the fun aunt she comes and visits. So sad. She has melted my heart :)

This is such a wonderful couple. I feel like I say that about every client we have but we are seriously blessed.

Ashley and Kyle had a FABULOUS New Year's Eve wedding and we were ready to celebrate it with them. I have to start the blog post off with the bride because well, she is what makes the wedding and she was GORGEOUS! She also was brave enough to face the freezing weather and had the best fur coat (yes, from Charlotte Russe) to go over her dress which made it all worth it. Adorable.

so what is your New Years Resolution?!

I have been thinking about this for a couple weeks now.. what is it I was to strive to do better, what goals do I want to set for myself?

Adam and I every year go out to dinner and write down all of our personal goals and business goals. We go over the past years goals and cross off what we have accomplished. It has become a fun tradition of ours and I look forward to it every year.

We are shooting a wedding tonight so we will have to bump that tradition to next week but I look forward to it!

Blogging is one of my goals already.. I can tell you that. I am going to be better and I will be better. This poor thing has gotten so neglected.

Alyssa and Cole were a wonderful, flexible, laid back, enjoyable couple. We couldn't have asked for a better couple to shoot and we enjoyed every wet, soggy minute. The wedding was beautiful and despite the limited light and area we got some stellar images for them.

This was a wet wedding to say the least. They had planned having their wedding on this day because it had not rained on this weekend in 10 YEARS! Guess God thought it was a good time to break that record. As soon as she opened the door to come out of the house for the wedding thunder cracked and tiny sprinkles started. How lovely. It was a very beautiful wedding and we were thrilled to be there capturing it for them!

Talk about perfection! This couple was wonderful. We had only talked to them over the phone and email so we had a great time getting to know them, trying to see how wet we could get and learning the skill of shooting with umbrellas during their engagement session. Not an easy task... at least for me :)

I have been majorly slacking lately on our poor blog. We are currently reconstructing the look of A. Bryan Photography and it seems to be the worst time to be doing it! Therefore it is taking a lot longer, so please be patient! This month is turning out to be absolutely crazy and I hope we can survive. We are finally adjusting to parenthood and it is treating us well. Our little guy is getting so big and had his first big laugh on Saturday and he held his bottle for the first time today! WOHOO. Jack is ONE! His one year shoot had to be postponed a bit because of our little arrival but we finally made it! We also took advantage of this time to get some family images seeing this would be their first official family photograph. It was fun to do and it was even better to get our feet wet in being photographers and parents. There is now more to juggle than just us! Here are some of my favorites. ENJOY!

HE'S HERE! I cannot believe how long it took me to even post an image but life has been CRAZY. I am trying to slowly get back into the swing of things and we are getting used to my family being gone. They were such a huge help and were priceless.
The labor went long and very hard but after 26 hours of natural labor he came. It was the hardest thing I have ever been through but also the most rewarding. He has been so wonderful and just last night only got up once for a feeding! Praise the Lord!
I will try to be better at posting and I am going to put some more images up of a shoot my sister and dad did for us in the first week so keep an eye out!

Here is an amazingly sweet couple that we are thrilled to be working with!

They will be having a New Year's Eve Wedding (who could ask for anything better?!) and we cannot wait for it especially after shooting them for their engagement session. We met them down in Nashville IN and had a blast walking around the town finding fun little nooks and crannies to have them pose for us in!

This was my last session to shoot before the baby and it was extreamly harder than it typically should be. I felt like a 90 year old women trying to get up and down off the ground and it just didn't work as well!!! What I loved the most during the session was during one point I was balancing on a rock to try to get a top view of them and the rock was not what you would call stable. Ashley so kindly called me Grace at the moment for my lack of grace and it brought me back to growing up when my mom would call me that for the same reason. I was NOT created to be a ballerina, thats for sure!

You might remember Selah from when she was first born and now she is a year old! I cant believe it has flown by. We headed over to The Flying Cupcake and did a little shoot. I had never been to The Flying Cupcake and as soon as we walked it you were hit with the wonderful smell of freshly baked cupcakes. It was heaven! I could have been there all day. Besides the fabulous smells they have the place decorated so adorable. I was in love.
Selah was a dream as well. We had been trying to schedule this for awhile now and between both of our schedules and the fact that Selah has been sick on and off it was proving to be difficult! We finally pinned down a time and got some wonderful images of her to mark her first birthday!

I CANNOT believe it has been two years since we were in Arizona getting married..

well it has and I cannot imagine being married to any other man. He is wonderful and perfect for me in every way! I never imagined marriage to be so hard and difficult but yet so rewarding. He continually is stretching and challenging me in my faith, actions and attitude. It blows me away that in a month and a half our family of two will be a family of three and he will not only be my husband but the father of my son. I love that thought!

Our view during the sunrise.. love it. I am never up early enough to watch the sunrise but in Vegas I was!

Vegas was wonderful, inspiring, tiring, long and anything but a vacation!

I would not recommend going seven months pregnant. Not a good idea. There was SO much walking involved and I could barely fit into any of my shoes after our flight and my feet swelled! On the flip side there were some WONDERFUL speakers we were able to listen to and we walked away with a notebook full of inspiration. We are excited in the direction our business is moving and we cannot wait to apply a lot of what we have learned.

Tomorrow morning at 4:30 am we are headed to the airport for Vegas Baby! I am so ready for something different then Indiana :)

I am excited to come back here with new and fresh perspective on this business and we will be able to put it into practice and make this even better. So watch out!!!

We just left our little boy, Zeke (yes our dog) with our good friend and I didn't think I would be so sad. I mean it's a god for goodness sake! I can only imagine when I am actually going to need to leave my kid how hard it will be!! Geesh. Zeke has just become our spoiled little man. Poor thing :)

At 4:30 last night I got up for my routine trip to the bathroom.. (pregnancy is lovely!) Well this night I had gotten lucky enough to pull BOTH of our dark heavy curtains back and I was loving the complete darkness in the room.

*side note: Adam and I had made a compromise since the beginning of our marriage to pull one curtain closed at night and leave one open so he can see the sunlight in the morning.*

Well for some reason last night when I was heading back into the room I ran smack dab into the corner of the door and now I am sporting a very stylish goose egg (isn't that what it is called?) on my forehead. As soon as it happened Adam jumped like someone had broken in and I couldn't do anything to stop from laughing uncontrollably at what had just happened. Who runs into the corner of the door at 4:30?! Me of course.

After the hype calmed down Adam got up and pulled back one of the curtains and this time there wasn't a complaint coming out of my mouth. Maybe a little light is a good thing!
